New found appreciation for good characters!

I have been watching the news all summer… keeping up with current events, becuase, well its what I do. Also a part of what I do is dig a little deeper and then rant… however, i will not be ranting at the moment. Instead I want to give a round of applause and show some appreciation for the leaders of certain countries that, quite frankly, get less than adequate love from the U.S.
I would like to say that, after having seen an interview on CNN with Moamar Qadafi, he was nearly instantly added to my “people i wish i could have lunch with” list. Shortly thereafter, a hellacious research project led me to add Hugo Chavez to my list. Both good characters I think, though ideologically perhaps not parallel, I always like to think of myself as the person that can hold a conversation with someone of the stature of these men, and say “i like where you’re coming from” or joke with a smile that I don’t entirely agree, adding simply and smartly in Sarah manner, that it’s none of my damn business to do anything even if i disagree. And then I would politely suggest my favorite dish, and lunch would proceed rather grandly. . . yes, my day-dreams are out-there – but shit, I will wish whatever I want! It keeps me busy, and the possibility that I could do these things one day keeps me motivated…. so there
