Lips Unzipped on Health care reform.
Health Care Reform: Ah, including all the lovely BS that has, for a rather long time, caused me to keep my lips zipped about the subject. It frustrates me and I would rather have not thought about it extensively, except for the fact, well, that is simply what I do. Whether I blog about it or not, I am always picking apart some topic or another.
I am getting a little (or a lot rather) distracted trying to steer away from my typical rhythmic ranting that allows me to flow free with the opinion and analysis, and that having been said, I say screw the formalities. If you don’t like it, well, don’t read it.
RAPE! Rape as a pre-exisiting condition?! Seriously. An insurance company can’t pick a bitch up because of the PREVENTATIVE treatment she RECEIVED (not still receiving, but received) after having been raped; this was a hypothetical question posed to insurance companies in Florida, by, none other than an insurance agent. Yeah, rape is pre-existing condition: “I was raped by my last insurance company, now I want treatment.” And of course, insurance was denied…. I couldn’t imagine actually having this happen… How the hell do you work up the balls to tell someone that because they were a victim of a crime, they can’t have their health coverage renewed.
This whole bull shit leads me to the entire concept of gender rating by insurance companies… where women are charged higher premiums for, well, just being women. Wanna know why, cuz it is highly probable that women get pregnant; pregnancy is expensive.
So tell me, oh holy insurance companies, once I hit menopause, my rates drop like a fucking rock right?? Just throwing it around.
