I heard Rush Limbaugh, that Right wing political freak show, this morning bitching and complaining about how the Obama administration hasn’t done anything for the country. He was spewing the question for all listeners to consider “What has the government done for you lately?” at the same time trying to make the point that the government now is a socialist regime, doing for citizens what they should be doing for themselves, blah blah blah. Just wanted to say, that it’s no surprise really, but this makes no sense. Why, if he opposes the alleged socialism of the country would he expect the country to be doing for him!? What sense does this make? Why is it explicitly the condition of government to do for the citizens, when really what citizens should be doing is taking part in the process that elects officials that will facilitate and cooperate and compromise on important issues. Perhaps congress needs to take a step back to see the big picture of only what they are in control of and leave out the non-sense belief that they should be affecting the political future of themselves or and fellow official by stonewalling a particular effort to gain a momentum in the nation! And i say A momentum, as singularly and explicitly as possible because there is barely anything to start from. We’re at the point where we forgot to down shift and now we gotta accelerate from second gear just to get things going again.
